Iran Air Flight #655

This is the anniversary of "the accident" that saw USS Vincennes (a.k.a. "Freedom's Fortress") bring down an Iranian passenger jet over Persian Gulf, killing all 290 people on board. It is a shame that the truth has never been told about what really happened on that day and virtually nobody has been reprimanded for their actions. 290 families, their friends and associates, along with millions of their other countrymen and women were given yet another reason to hate the world super-power's uncontrolled and senseless military machine.

My thoughts today are with Leila Behbahani, a 3 year old passenger on that flight, who "was still dressed in her tidy blue dress, black shoes, white socks, and little gold bangles on her wrists" when found
